In the interest of contributing to upkeep of necessary safety conditions and functional regularity, all customers on the Metropolitan and Cable Railways of Naples must at all times observe the norms displayed in all stations and published on the agency’s website http://www.metro.na.it/.
The
internal areas of the stations are subject to the disciplinary norms set out in
the operational code, by the local regulations of the Urban Police and by the
D.P.R. 753/80. Normally, such areas are divided in two by a barrier controlling
access to boarding platforms. Access to the trains is permitted only to those
in possession of a valid ticket or authorization to enter freely.
4.1-

train cabin or any place reserved for personnel, as well as technical
facilities. 4.3- enter the train wearing roller skates, or barefoot; 4.4- enter the station carrying
dangerous objects; 4.5- Sing, play musical instruments, use portable radio without
headphones; it is in general forbidden to disturb other travellers;
4.6- dirty, damage, remove, or touch parts of the equipment of the cars or devices aboard or in the stations, or use water or electricity without authorization in the mezzanines or on platforms; 4.7- attach announcements or advertisement on the
walls of the stations or trains; 4.8- lean out the windows or pass any object through
the window, or throw any object or any nature on the rails or track.
4.9- go past
the yellow safety lines on the platform, while awaiting the arrival and full
stop of the train, or entering the tunnel or crossing the rails;
4.10- enter or
exit any train on which the closed door signal has been activated;
4.11- use the
alarm if not in danger 4.12- occupy more than one seat, even with bags or
purses, and obstruct other passengers; 4.13- distract the personnel from carrying out their
functions; 4.14- slide down the railing of the staircases or escalators, or use the
escalators in the incorrect direction, or push the emergency stop button if not
in danger; 4.15- occupy space inside the station, distribute flyers or carry out any
kind of commerce, as well as distribute or sell objects, even for charitable
causes, without the authorisation of the Metronapoli Agency. 4.16- solicit; 4.17- Remain inside the station
after closing has been announced; 4.18- smoke in the stations and on the trains.
Every
train door is, by law, usable both for entrance and exit. Before entering the
train, it is advisable to allow arriving passengers to first exit.
Any abusive
blockage of the doors, free entrance and exit, or leaning on the doors is
forbidden.
In the
event that it is necessary to set off an alarm, travellers may: 7.1- aboard the trains,
activate the appropriate device indicated in writing by the words “ALLARME
PASSEGGERI”, waiting for the train to come to a full stop before explaining the
reason leading to setting off the alarm; 7.2- in the stations, refer to personnel.
8- USE
OF DEVICE FOR SEVERING ELECTRIC CURRENT (HANDLE, BUTTON)
On the
metropolitan lines, in case of necessity, anyone may cut off the electric
current of the contact line, even before setting off the alarm, by activating
one of the appropriate devices indicated by signals installed along the
platform. The electric current must be cut off in any event in which the use of
hydrants is necessary.
In the
event the train comes to a full stop on the lines following the announcement of
evacuation by the operator, travellers may receive the order to activate the
emergency door opening and go to the service platform to reach the nearest
station.
The
lifts are equipped with intercom and camera systems. In case of necessity,
activate the alarm button and wait to communicate with the service personnel.
Do not force the door in case the lift comes to a halt. Do not insist on
entering once the lift has exceeded its maximum capacity.
Photographs and filming within the station must be authorized by the
Managing Director and carried out taking care not cause harm to the facilities
or other persons.
On all
cars some seats are reserved for the disabled, indicated by relevant signs.
These must be made available to disabled passengers who request them.
Tickets may be purchased at all sales locations authorized by the
UNICOCAMPANIA Consortium (bars, tobacco shops, newsstands, automatic
distributors, etc.)
The
prices are set by from time to time by the relevant local authority. For
current prices, information can be obtained from the UNICOCAMPANIA
Consortium.
The ticket, including monthly passes must be stamped by the relevant
validation machines which can be found at the entrance to the boarding
platforms. In the event that these machines are either damaged or missing, the
passenger is responsible for validating the ticket by hand, indicating the date
and hour at which he or she began using the ticket. Passengers not possession
of valid tickets will be penalized pursuant to applicable laws and norms.

It is
possible to bring one dog per passenger aboard, provided that the animal is
small or medium size (Art. 7, par. 4 of law 16 of the Campania Region of
24/11/2001 defines “small” as a dog not exceeding 2 Kg, and “medium” as a dog
not exceeding 8 Kg), equipped with a leash and muzzle and held at all times by
the owner so as to not disturb other passengers. In such cases the animal may
travel free of charge. It is also possible to transport small pets in
containers not exceeding the dimensions 70*50*30 cm. It is forbidden to transport
large animals, with the exception of Seeing Eye dogs for the blind, transported
free of charge as a result of their function. The passengers who bring such
pets aboard will be held responsible for all damages to the train car, other
passengers, and their belongings.
It is
possible to transport luggage not exceeding the weight of 20kg, with dimensions
not above 70*50*30 cm. Luggage exceeding these dimensions may not be
transported.
The
transport of bicycles is allowed during holidays and weekends, on the condition
that the ticket has already been paid. The customer wishing to transport the
bicycle must first contact the station employees, who may ask the customer to
await the next train in the event that the current departure is crowded.
While in the station, the bicycle must be guided by hand, and it is strictly forbidden to use the bicycle on mobile walkways, escalator, or stairs. It is possible to bring the bicycle in elevators, provided that they are of adequate capacity. A maximum
number of three bicycles which may be transported aboard each train, with the
exception of the Mergellina cable railway, where only two are allowed.
During the
journey, the bicycles must be kept in the spaces marked by the relevant icon.
All damages to the train, passengers or their belongings are the responsibility
of the customer.
